Toe Rings
Toe rings are a part of the traditional dress of women
in India but which have also gained some popularity around the world.
Traditionally worn as a pair on the second toe of both feet, Western
counterparts usually wear just one ring. They have gained popularity
because women elsewhere also find them to be attractive and alluring
accessories.
Toe rings are worn as a cultural symbol India. In Hindi they are called
‘bichiya’ and worn by women to show they are married. They
are usually made from silver. Hindus aren’t supposed to wear gold
below the waist, but it’s not set in stone.
Toe rings can be found at any mall’s popular jewelry store. There
are also numerous style options available online. Whether you want to
wear plain metal bands or blinged out gemstones on toes, there’s
probably an option available out there.
